Rio de Janeiro (RJ). Hey, Brazil, the best football of the world is German! In the Cup of Cups decision, Germany proved the football world that investment, organization and discipline make a winner team - or better: a four-time winner team.

At the decision with brave Argentina, this Sunday (13), the Europeans got down in history by conquering, for the first time on South-American grounds, a world championship. For the fifth time, an edition of the tournament was decided in the prorogation. Mario Goetze is the new hero of the achievement, that was close in 2002 and hadn't’t happened in the last 24 years.

Nervousness all around. Seriousness on everyone’s faces. But, as it’s their profile, the Germans imposed a cold football, with quick assists and scoring each player hard. Knowing what would have to face, Alejandro Sabella left Argentina settled for counter-attack.

Therefore, any time they managed to get there, the platinum team presented some danger. In that tangled backwards strike from Kroos, Hinguaín, face to face to Neuer, could have changed the decision’s direction right at the beginning. It was known that it would be a strategical game, almost a chess table. Any centimeter could change the direction.

One point to the assistant, who correctly nullified Higuaín’s goal. A lot was expected from Messi who. always having a good space gaining, caused a buzz in the German defense. Despite the lack of goals, the first phase of the game has been full of dangerous moments for both sides. Let’s just remember Hoewedes’ fine header on the goalpost. The second phase started with a good level of created chances, but, equally, wasted.

As usually happens in decisive games, the second half is always a mix of caution - already thinking of the prorogation - and tension - any mistake could be fatal. The Italian referee Nicola Rizzoli, who had a good performance, didn’t spare cards.

Little by little, the number of goal opportunities got smaller and smaller. It all depended on someone’s - aka Messi - individuality, which actually didn’t happen. Dramatically, the game went on to the extra time.

In prorogation, Germany presented itself much more willing to decide everything in those extra 30 minutes. But who in fact had the best opportunity was Palacio, who tried it in an effect pass. The time of game in the second phase was much spent aiding the players - a proof of the fight held on the field.

But, when everything led to the belief that the championship would have its third decision on penalty shootouts, Goetze scored the incontestable goal of the German title.
